A: This planet is most likely to have earth-like conditions.
B: This planet is considerably less likely to have earth-like conditions.
However, Planet A is considered, among supporters of the alien abduction hypothesis, to be the home planet of the Greys, who, according to believers, regularly abduct humans and animals, performing inhumane, painful and cruel experiments.

Do you completely disregard the alien believer’s position as nonsense, and send the probe to Planet A anyway?
Or do you instead send the probe to Planet B, because you are unwilling to take the risk of provoking a hostile alien species, even though you are almost absolutely certain that these aliens do not exist?
