What do you think about January 1st being the new year?

I’m not sure why we use Jan 1, but it wouldn’t be my pick. In Judaism we use a time that falls around September. If it has something to do with Jesus, you would think it would be the day of his birth.
Seams like Springtime might make more sense. Although, I realize springtime varies around the world, so at least part of the world would be in fall.
