How do I retrieve Outlook Express Address Book and Account settings without having done an export?

My boss' computer died. We were able to save his hard drive and are now in the process of importing data to his new temporary laptop.

How do I restore his address book and account settings without having done an EXPORT. Everything I've read about migrating these two things takes for granted the that original machine is still up and running and that the user is able to EXPORT. All we have access to is his hard drive from his old machine.
