If you loved college, what do you do now to recreate what you loved about it?

I loved easy access to friends. Living in the dorms, or even the apartment I lived in in my senior year. My fantasy is to live in a building, or in a cottage, with my friends living in the same building, or a cottage on the same acreage. I guess I want a commune. I know I’m not alone. My best girlfriends joke about being the Golden Girls in the future. One of them sent me an article about Bestie Row. The closest I get is my husband is my friend and he’s around most of the time. It’s not quite the same though. Facebook and texting helps be in touch too.
Maybe you loved college for totally different reasons. The campus, the classes, the learning, the discussions, whatever it is, do you keep it alive in your life now?
