In your opinion is common sense something you learn, or are you simply born with it?

In my travels it seems to me, less and less people seem to have and kind of common sense.
From instant road rage, to brainless texting, or even dealing with any kind of problems in todays world.
Does it seem that way to you as well?
Just wondering are we breeding it out of the human race, or are we not teaching the children about it?
