Do you know anybody else who does this with bourbon and cigarettes?

The sixty five year old husband of a close friend of mine quit smoking fifteen years ago. He also stopped drinking in the evenings. She told me that whenever they go out to dinner which is about twice a week he has three or four Crown and Cokes then drives the thirty miles home. A few days ago they went to spend the holiday with his grown daughter. My friend woke up at five a.m. and he wasn’t in bed. She found him talking to his daughter and smoking cigarettes. They had chatted for seven hours. Do you know anyone else with this odd behavior? I know some very strange people! Like attracts like I guess.
