How would you like to have John Glenn's resume?

I was not there for Glenn’s achievements in war or space flight.

I quote these from other sources other than my own experience

-Quit college to volunteer to go to war (WWII, after Pearl Harbor)
WWII 50 or 60 combat missions in the Pacific
-Korea-Got the nickname Magnet Ass because he was so hard core he would expose himself to to AA positions.
-Got the Distinguished Flying Cross several times (this is a really big deal, I know this and I am not a flyer)
Became a credentialed test pilot which is arguably a death wish
The first American to orbit the Earth in a little capsule that could have just as easily imploded or blown up.
Became US Senator that represented Ohio well with minimal controversy
And that is about that time (when he was a Senator in my state) that I became aware of his existence.
I love heroes.
I can’t deny it. I wish I could be one.
This guy really was one.
Wouldn’t you rather have his resume than your own?
I would.
