What should we take away from our latest mass shooting?

A shooting just occurred in Virginia that targeted Republican Congressmen: http://www.bbc.com/news/world-us-canada-40275055. Several people were hurt, but there have been no fatalities resulting from this so far.

I’m frightened. I feel like we’re dangerously close to total political chaos. I’m afraid this country will never heal.
