For the sake of this question, assume that heaven and hell exist. Suppose you arrived in heaven and it turned out that nothing was as it had been promised. What recourse would you have?

This question is derived from an article I read recently.

Suppose you get to heaven, and it isn’t the idyllic place that you were taught about at church. Supposing it was no different than living on Earth today, or (at worst) a whole lot like hell.

Would you feel cheated, like you had lived your whole life in pursuit of what turned out to be a lie?

What could you do about it? Is there any recourse?

Can we expect “truth in preaching” from our clergy?
