Which animal best fits, or would fit your life?

I would love to have a cat or two, or a sugar glider, but my disabilities leave me in a bad way to care for them as they would need.
I realized today that the pet which would best suit me is a sloth. At least then if it got into some naughty behavior, it could not escape before I could get to it. :-D
