Have you changed the colors in your home drastically over the years?

Paint, furniture, floors, accent pieces, new linens, any of it.

What prompted you to change? Did furniture wear out, did you move, just time for something new.

Do you miss the old color scheme?

Was it difficult for you to change the colors?

I’ve done some big changes over the years, but this time it is tougher for me to decide. I like too many things now. When I was a young adult and newly married we had white walls and bright colored furniture and artwork. Kind of Caribbean feeling. Then we went more neutral with off whites and beige and medium-dark wood cabinets and more Mediterranean style. Eventually, our colors went darker, greens and browns and some rust and beige. We are getting ready for a change. Furniture is getting old, accent pillows are getting flat, and my husband keeps talking about buying something new.

I miss the bright colors sometimes. I still have some knickknacks and dishes from that era. It was very fun, but then other decor I find more beautiful. Not sure what I will do next. No matter what it winds up being eclectic. I don’t do an entire design overhaul, too expensive and some things are sentimental.
