How do people juggle a Family, Full Time Job, and Open Source Projects?

I’ve got a wife and a two year old, a full time job that doesn’t allow me to work on FLOSS or with the family when I’m there, but I’ve got more than a few fires in the stoker. How do people find time to put all their good ideas into code without neglecting other areas of their lives?
