A large dog bit my shih tzu. He had my dog in its mouth. There are four puncture wounds?

My dog has been to the vet and the areas have been cleaned and she has been on meds for 2 weeks. I noticed two of the punctures are still weeping. My vet says there are only two options. One, cut out these areas due to the fact the skin is dying because the skin has been ripped from the body or, to have skin grafts put on my dog. Does anyone have any other suggestions?
