Drop something in the toilet?

Here’s the scenario: Fresh toilet water. Not used. Cleaned it with a good scrubbing about a week ago. Fresh – meaning not filled with anything but water from previous flush.

Dropped a hairbrush in there tonight. Still use the hairbrush? What if it were a toothbrush? What would you do?
