Is my dog seeing something we are not?

we have other dogs but only one runs around stares up at the ceiling cries growls some. He will run along the top back of our couch to and stare up. we get a cold chill if it goes on too long. lately it has been more often. last night and tonight. does anyone know if our dog is seeing a ghost?
