Can Money Orders from Canada be encashed in Singapore?

I’m trying to buy something online from a lady for the first time. I wanted to send her either cash or a money order. I had already sent the money order but then in reply to my email, she had said that money orders aren’t able to be encashed if they’re from Canada or US.
Quoted—> “I’m afraid we’re unable to encash Canadian / US money orders over here, which is why money orders are not stated as a mode of payment in my shop”
She told me to send her the cash now, and then she will send back the thing i wanted to buy plus the money order i sent… What should i do? Ask her to send the money order back first before i send the cash??.... Are money orders from US and Canada really unable to encash?
(PS: i dont wanna use paypal or anything with a card, which is why my last resort is cash or money orders)
