What makes you sad?

I recently visited an Ape sanctuary for abused and ex Circus animals.
When i looked into the eyes of an ageing Silver Backed Gorrilla the feeling of sadness was overwhelming.
This once proud KING reduced to a scared and nervous wreck,staring right back at me, his eyes seemed to say why have you done this to me.
The feelings of humiliation and guilt that became apparent after looking into this KINGS eyes will be etched in my memory.
Have you ever felt sad about what we as “humans“have done to this planets creatures.
