Cure or quick fixes for oral herpes outbreaks?

I have been dealing with oral herpes outbreaks for many years and I have heard about so many different ideas on how to quickly get rid of the blisters and allow healing to occur.

I have read about some natural oil treatment that seem to work pretty well, anyone has some experience with it? Other solutions involved taking serious amounts of vitamins, especially A and D for quick skin regeneration. All your thoughts are welcome.

Trouble is that I play the trombone, and an outbreak can be devastating since playing is very affected!
