How do you get the original copies of SNL Sketches...

Asked by blastfamy (2174points) February 9th, 2009

There have been a couple of notable SNL “Digital Shorts” that have played in the past couple of years (among other sketches). In particular, I really liked the Natalie Portman Rap and ”Iran So Far Away”.

Unfortunately, all of the recordings I have found of these sketches have been taken from the original broadcast, so they have the background laughter from the studio audience. At some portions, the sound in the sketches is obscured by the laughter.

I would like to be able to get my hands on copies of what NBC aired – essentially the original recording of the “digital short”, which would be absolutely free of the audience sound.

Does anyone know of a place on the interwebs that has these? Is there some way that anyone knows of to get to those (I would presume) files?

Any help would be appreciated.
