How can I let my friends know I'm back, without my Question being rejected by the moderators?

I tried to let my Fluther friends from that “other place” know that I’m back here (since the “other place” is dying), but both of my attempts to do so were rejected by the moderators as being too “chat room”-like.

I was under the impression that you were actually allowed to talk to one another on here, but perhaps I was mistaken.
