What is it with men and red, high-heeled shoes?

I have a great pair of scarlett red 3” pumps. Sometimes I wear them to work when I am feeling sassy. Whenever I do, men always look at my shoes and compliment them. It’s happened 3 times today and it’s only 10:42am. One guy said, “you know what red heels do to us guys.” What is the deal?
