Which is the best HTML editor?

I’m a rookie learning HTML and I’m wondering if it would be worth investing in a mainstream editor. Right now I’m using Notepad++ but I’m hearing good things about Coffeecup’s HTML editor as well as Homesite 5.5. Would it be worth it to purchase one of these editors? If so why?
