Can one deposit checks by mail?

Okay here’s my issue…I use a local chain bank while I’m at college. I really love it and they have great online tools. However, they are only located in PA and I’m going back home to upstate NY.

I’m going to be making money over the summer and will be paid in checks. I don’t want to open a new account at the local bank here because it’s a hassle and they are expensive in my town!

Can I somehow mail the checks to the bank and have them deposited? I’d use my debit card to get the money if I needed it.
