If a website were truly about "diverse experience and knowledge" (diverse being a very key word), shouldn't said site be open to questions of all sorts?

Too many questions here are removed. Not every question someone asks really NEEDS to be intellectual. Sometimes people are silly. Quite a few people actually appreciate that silliness because it brightens their day. Silliness is great. I don’t understand why questions that are simply meant to be funny are a “no no” in the guidelines. It just seems a bit ridiculous. Even intellectual people have a sense of humor. If they allow themselves to. Really, who doesn’t enjoy a really good giggle from time to time?

And what about questions that are controversial? What’s wrong with them? Not a darn thing. Controversy makes the world go round. Where would we be right now if there hadn’t been people raising controversial questions about slavery? Where would we be if no one ever discussed controversial issues? We’d be up a creek without a poodle, my friends. We’d be in a dictatorship. Controversy is one thing that MAKES us diverse.

So for heaven’s sake, people, be silly, be controversial, be outspoken about what makes you passionate. Be you.
