What was the name of this now defunct cookie?

When I was a kid growing up in the 1970s there was a chocolate cookie that my whole family absolutely loved but none of us can remember the name of it.

Here is what I remember: first off, according to my mother they only sold the cookies in fall, winter and spring since in summer the cookies melted all over the place. The cookies were about two inches long, a half an inch across and about a third of an inch thick. They seemed to be covered in real chocolate, not that waxy chocolate we all know from modern “chocolate” cookies. The inside was crunchy, but sort of crumbly. The chocolate exterior was smooth and not dusted with chips or anything like Flaky Flix. The cookies came lined up about twenty to a box. The box was a tray with a partially clear cellophane wrapping. I believe the rest of the wrapper was orange and brown.

It is not Twix, it is not Flakey Flix.

Many people, my family included, kept them in the freezer for extra deliciousness.
