What is the cheapest way to fly from Toronto/Buffalo to Italy (Rome/Naples)

Im trying to fly from Toronto Naples as cheaply as I possibly can. I can get to Buffalo if its going to be a lot cheaper and worth my while, and I can also land in Rome rather than Naples if this will reduce the cost as well. Can anyone share any secrets or tips for getting the absolute lowest possible airfare?
