How do I sync iPhone contacts without losing music?

Asked by digsby14 (2points) December 27th, 2007

My lap top has all my contacts in windows contacts format but all my music is on the server in my apt with a mapped z drive. I meet people and I enter their information onto my iphone directly and I would like to sync this information onto my laptop’s contacts. Unfortunately when I attempt to open the itunes and just sync my contacts I get the message “Are you sure you do not want to sync music? All existing songs and playlists on iphone will be removed”. Now that made me stop because it will be a week or two before I am back at home with my server and the mapped drive which my itunes library was built off of. So simply put, is there a way to just sync my contacts without losing my music? For example, if I tell it to sync with the library will it even know that the songs aren’t really there due to the disconnected z drive? Any help would be appreciated. —dan
