PowerMac G5 won't see Ethernet cable?

Hi! I have a G5 with OS 10.5.6 at my office. Last week it was hitting the internet and network fine. I come in this morning and it is telling me that no Ethernet cable is plugged in (in the Network section of the System Preferences). The System Profiler reads an Ethernet card. I have switched Ethernet cables and network ports at my office, no good. Any ideas?
