What is your fave side dish on the fourth of july?

ok, we got enough meat at this party, but what about the sides? what “side dish” do you bring to the house that everybody wants? my sister-in-law always brings shrimp and broccoli salad. never tasted it because it looks too wet and ranchy to me, but everybody else eats the &^%$ out of it.
what is your rave side? mine is fried corn with peppers, onions and cilantro…
