What's wrong with my webcam?

So I have my MAcBook Pro now yay it’s great :) But there’s a problem with my webcam I think. I was IMing on yahoo while inviting my babe to view my webcam no, not like that you hornballs he said that there was no prompt whatsoever for him to click “yes” to view it or whatever. but i could see me.
what do you guys think is the problem?
