Strange random pain in leg?

I started having this pain 2 days ago now and it is very random. I have had lower back pain on my left off and on before, maybe from sleeping or sitting turned at the computer, etc. but the shooting, uncomfortable pains are in my upper right leg. It definitely isn’t muscle, it feels like its in my bone. It only lasts about 20 seconds or so. I haven’t done anything lately and I’m in good health overall. Could I have a pinched nerve or something else going on?
