Why is there much more hate towards Gays than Lesbians?

I was thinking about this after watching Bruno and realized that there is not much as much hate/attention towards gay women (or lesbians) like there is men. And I wondered, why is that? Why is there so much homophobia towards gay men and not as much as women. There are many that say it is a religious issue but sometimes those same people watch lesbian porn and are aroused by it and say nothing about it. And lets face it men are not as easy going as women and have trouble to accept certain things and usually tend to push and fight until they die while women are willing to change and accept. Do you think that there is such strong homophobia towards gay men because when straight men express they’re disgust mens opinion “counts more” than a women’s? Do you think that if women had more power than men this would change and there wouldn’t be much homophobia of any kind? Also instead of it being called “wrong” because of religion do you think this is because it is disgusting to men?
I am sorry if i am having trouble expressing my ideas because my english isn’t perfect but I hope you understand what I mean. This is something I am interested in learning in and hope to lean allot.
