Why do kebabs bought from dodgy street corners taste so good after copious amounts of alcohol, but so bad in the morning?

I can never resist spending money on a massive meat and chips/doner kebab on the way home from a night out. It always fills me up perfectly, and feels amazing at the time.

However, waking up with the taste of last nights kebab still “fresh” on my breath is horrible. However, I swear it makes my hangovers at least more bearable.
