Melbourne suburbs compared to Sydney?

I love living in Potts Point / Darlinghurst area of Sydney because of all the cafes, bars and restaurants; proximity to CBD; and the general look and feel of the place. I’m moving to Melbourne in January – can anyone suggest a comparitive area?
