How can I get rid of the smell of old leather?

I recently bought a leather bag from a local vintage shop. The only problem I have with it is that it has this old leather smell and maybe some smoke too. I didn’t notice it in the store but now that I’ve brought it home, the smell is really obvious.

Does anyone know a fix for this? Thanks.
