Help with Webroot Desktop Firewall?

I downloaded a trial of the webroot firewall and I have a few questions:

1. There is a place where you can type in blocked/ IP adresses. I typed in a few websites that I have recieved pop-ups before. (ex. partypoker.com, specificclick.com etc.) I just typed in the URL. Will doing this completely block the websites from giving me pop-ups?

2. For Trusted Sites, will this automatically allow the websites I enter in here to give me any unstable material, like pop-ups, or without blocking any possible pop-ups?

I don’t have a lot of expierience with Firewalls, although I have always had one installed. Any general information would be appreciated.
