What guitar should I Buy?

I have been playing guitar for about 9 years now, and have finished 6 years of musical school. I always just played classical guitar and fingerstyle. Now I want to buy an electric, but just don’t know what would suit me best. I was thinking of a jazz guitar first, because I will play jazz, blues. But it got me thinking soon, that I will surely want to play some rock to once and a while. So I thought maybe a normal eclectic guitar would do. What do you think?
