Should we be allowed to elect a president more than twice?

Let’s say, hypothetically, there was a president who knew what the heck he was doing (remember, hypothetically) and most people in the US loved him (or her). Why shouldn’t we be allowed to elect him to as many terms as we, the people, want. Why call it quits at two terms when everything is going great?
