Is Tommy Hilfiger Men's Carbo the right casual shoes for (blue) jeans?

I hit a few stores with a dude I consider fashionable. He recommended Tommy Hilfiger Men’s Carbo TR

for everyday Campus/streetwear. Will his suggestion do the job? Will it work with light and dark wash blue levi’s? Will it work with brown jeans?

If not, suggestions are most welcomed. Also, the guys say brown works for me so brown shoes preferably.
