Is there a way to disable the "iPhone-friendly" version of the Facebook page when visiting it on an iPhone/iPod Touch?

I’ve found myself increasingly frustrated with the Facebook page on my iPhone. I have the latest update to the Facebook app (3.0.2) and I find it infinitely better than previous versions. However, sometimes I just need to visit the site (for example, someone has posted a URL to something on Facebook via Twitter).

In those cases, clicking the URL begins to load the page, but then reverts to the iPhone version, which doesn’t support all the features of the full page, or even the app at this point. Even then clicking “regular version” at the bottom of the page, and then trying the link again won’t work.

If there is a Facebook app for the device, and it’s free, why is Facebook even still redirecting in Safari? And more importantly, is there any way to make it stop?

If it helps any, my iPhone is jailbroken, and I’m aware that there’s a user-agent faker app, but I’ve tried it and it didn’t seem to work for me. I’d also prefer if there was a method that didn’t require jailbreaking, but any and all suggestions are welcome.
