Building computer, need help?

as of now i found a similar question and am thinking of this setup:

Mobo- GIGABYTE GA-MA790X-UD4P
CPU- AMD phenom II x4 955 black edition (3.2GHz)
RAM- 4gb 1066 or 1333mhz
Vidocard-XFX HD-485X-ZDFC Radeon HD 4850 1GB 256-bit
GDDR3
PSU- OCZ ModXStream Pro OCZ500MXSP 500W

So im wondering if this setup sounds good? i dont game now, but im thinking of getting into it a bit more, ive never built a computer before, and i probably wont be gaming for a bit, should i wait and let things get cheaper/more advanced or should i go ahead. i probably wouldn’t do much gaming for the next 6months. as far as the setup, my biggest questions are if this mobo is good, if its limiting, or if its more powerful than what i need….also if the video card is good/limiting….any other issues would be good to bring up also, ask and i have links to all the stuff in newegg if ud like them
