Should I suggest a price reduction?

So I found my perfect frames (glasses), and I plan to purchase them. The thing is, they’re discontinued. A nearby Lenscrafters happens to be the only ones to my knowledge who carry them. I plan to ask for a price reduction because if they are damaged or something of that nature, the chances of me being able to get a replacement are slim.
Have any reasons why I shouldn’t ask to purchase them at a lower price?
