Why are sex machines so expensive?

In a recent conversation with friends, sex machines became the topic of the night. All curious, we decided to look them up online and joked around about the possibility of one of us buying the other a sex machine. So, after looking at several websites, I found my ideal sex machine which is called the Sybian. We looked at several sites and the cheapest Sybian was around $1000. I doubt any of my friends would ever be able to afford buying me such an expensive toy, no matter how much they cared about me and my sexual pleasure. So, for the pleasure of all womenkind, does anyone know why sex machines are so expensive?
