When to call: I've submitted a piece of artwork to a gallery via e-mail, when would it be appropiate for me to call and see if they are considering the piece?

it hasn’t been a whole week yet (as of this writing) but I’m getting anxious and would like to know if I’m going to get some exposure for my artwork. Haven’t had anything in a gallery for about 2 years.
