Has anyone ever been away to Egypt at christmas?

i am just wondering if anyone has and what the temperature is like? i am going to sharm el shiekh. Also i will be going to the nightclub pacha in naama bay on new years eve, if anyone has any info on both these subjects that would be fab! ta!
