If the toaster catches on fire, is it still safe to eat the food that was toasting?

I may or may not have left the room when a toaster strudel was in the toaster.
It may or may not have been on fire when I came back.

I unplugged it, put it out with a wet towel yeah, I wasn’t gonna use a fire extinguisher on my food then flipped it over to get the toaster strudel out.

It didn’t burn the food too badly (the corner of it is pretty crispy, but the rest looks fine one the toaster ash was brushed off)

So.. can I still eat it?
