What's the best way to get web videos onto DVD?

My dad loves interesting talks, but he’s got super slow internet. So, I’m hoping to make him a DVD of some great TED talks (www.ted.com). They’re all creative common licenses, so I’m fine on the copy front side. My question is: what’s the best way to take web videos (looks like mp4s in this case) and turn them into DVDs?

I’m using a Mac but don’t have a dvd burner.
