What do you think about when you get a haircut?

Being military.. I have to get a haircut nearly every weekend. (just did!) The barbers are almost always elderly women who don’t speak English very well so I can’t really relate to them and talk. I mostly just sit there in awkward silence as my head is being pushed around and blink as the waiting area people stare at me.

Haircuts are a significant 10 minute period of time for me because I’ve associated them with some pretty big events in my life time… like the haircut right after my promotion.. or the haircut right after I found out my wife had cheated on me.. or the haircut just after finding out one of my friends had been killed in combat…

What about you? What do you think about when you get a haircut? Do you have a regular barber? Are you picky about your haircut or do you just get it done to get it done? Tell me all about your haircut experiences! (if you want to.. XD)
