Did your High School have a nurse? A guidance counsellor?

I remember when I was in grade 9, a student raised his hand and said he wasn’t feeling well and maybe he should go see the nurse. The teacher’s response: an incredulous “There’s no nurse!” And I remember a few years later, I made an appointment with the school counsellor, I don’t remember what my issue was specifically but it was something personal, and I remember starting to explain my problem and the counsellor interrupting me, “Umm, I’m not really here for that, I’m here for academic guidance.” But on TV there’s always a school nurse and people are always going to the school counsellor for personal problems! What was it like for you?
