I'm looking for an open-source (or free) alternative to Adobe InDesign.

I’ve tried Scribus, and it’s alright but seems to have some huge faults I can’t get over. Is there an equivalent program to InDesign or Quark that has comparable functionality? For example, as GIMP is to Adobe Photoshop.
